Our maintenance research involves close monitoring of portfolio companies’ vs our expectations on their business performance. Stocks which have substantially run ahead of their fundamentals first move into category B and could later move back up to A i.e., attractive both on business front and share prices returns or further down to C

REVISIT

Revisit our core list on a 1 – 3 month basis.

PORTFOLIO BUILD

Undertake a scuttle butt exercise if our analysis of a few companies does require it. We conclude with an active A/B/C classification. Thus, we get names to construct our portfolio.

IDEATION & STRATEGY

Overlay our external views (#) on top of our understanding of these businesses. Run our investment ideas past corporates and our business contacts including peers who we respect.

SCREENING

Screen companies for ROCE > 15% from the total listed universe we have our core list of about 80 companies. Follow these companies very closely and conduct 200-250 meetings/year
